After having the class of Pn. Imma about the second life, i get some new ideas about the future classroom. The most important point I got from second life is, " We have the responsibility to avoid children become Digital Slave.
I agreed and ,i wish that i could involve my sensory motor (audio, visual, touch, odour, taste) in my children learning class. It make the learning process more impressive. Second life is an example of good stage for teachers to create a good environment of learning. However, a good teacher must know how to control the web so that the children learn in the correct ways instead of addicted and becoming a digital slave.
In my future classroom, i wish that i could have a smart board which can generate the sense of visual, audio and touch of my children. Besides, it also increase the interaction among the teacher and the students.
It is a new generation and it is a high technology era , the children must in touch with all the high technology tools for example laptop, computer, I-pad, I-phone and many others new high-tech tools that will change the human daily life anytime. How are we going to ensure that the children get the right platform of learning?
To me, I wish that I could have a good website that something like "Second Life" , but at the same time i can control the people involved in the website.
For the chatting box, I will set a software that there is a page where all the people involved in the website can see the words,audio or video of chatting.
In the website, i want to involve more gross motor activity. I wish that i could have the high tech tools for example the wireless badminton racket that get sensor of the computer. Thus, the children may play online badminton with the friend who may be from the other country. 3-D Visual and audio sound track ( the voice of the online friend can be heard). Thus, children can enhance all the aspect of learning for example their moral development, physical development, cognitive development,language development and especially social development!
When come to academic learning session, i think of using web camera for online learning. For example: I may invite a very good oversea English teacher to teach my children on the topic of phonics. I wish that i could invite all the expert to teach my children. At the same time, children can know and understand cultures of other country easily, that is, through the interaction with the world-wide people.
